The latest addition to the Powerclean UK Limited portfolio of services, Kilnclear Services, became a trading division of the parent company in 2006.

Kilnclear was developed to formalise the successful system which Powerclean UK Limited had operated over the last 25 years for the dry process cement production industry, which had ensured timely maintenance and minimisation of production downtime.

Kilnclear Services is unique, in that it is able to clear blockages inherent in the cement manufacturing process, whilst the plant is 'live' resulting in uninterrupted production and in addition, it offers a range of services during 'shut down' periods which is second to none.

These include the inspection, either visual or utilising CCTV equipment, of all areas of the dry process kiln system, the checking of internal cyclones, silos, feed pipes and scrubber systems, and the thorough cleaning of these areas ensuring the safety of maintenance personnel. They also have ability to cut through steel kiln shells and refractory using thermic lances to facilitate blockage clearance in inaccessible areas or prior to the fitting of blasting or inspection ports.

Blockage clearance is achieved using 'state of the art' high pressure water lances operated by personnel whose high level of training in all aspects of the work including confined space entry and the use of breathing apparatus is documentarily verifiable and traceable. The stringent attention to the training of our personnel, the maintenance of equipment, the keeping of necessary records to demonstrate these key disciplines, result in a workforce who are probably the best in their field and in their disciplines, and who have significantly contributed to a safety record of which Kilnclear Services and Powerclean UK Limited are justifiably proud.
